Spicy Paloma
Ok - so we know it’s not a salsa recipe, but this serrano pepper spiked cocktail (or mocktail) goes so well with chips and your favorite flavor of Killer Salsa we just couldn’t resist!
1 -1.5 Ounces Patron Silver
1 Ounce Serrano Simple Syrup (Recipe Below)
2 Ounces Grapefruit Juice
1-2 Ounces Grapefruit Sparkling Water
Lime Wedges and Serrano Slices
Serrano Simple Syrup:
2 Serrano Peppers, sliced
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Mix all ingredients (except Lime Wedges and Serrano Slices in cocktail shaker. Pour over crushed ice and garnish with lime wedges and serrano slices. For a mocktail, omit Patron Silver and add additional Grapefruit Sparkling Water.
Serrano Simple Syrup:
In a small sauce pan mix serrano peppers, sugar and water. Bring mixture to a boil and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Strain into mason jar to remove seeds and serrano pieces. Can be stored at room temperature for two weeks.
